This small but mighty black-owned business was founded in New Orleans by Michelle Nicole in 2021. Michelle’s love for flowers, dimension, bounce, color, and style can be experienced through her freestyle designs.

Michelle is a self-taught florist with an eye for being different. It’s a Floral Thang is watered by Michelle’s passion for creating new things, her excitement for growth, and her love to provide the world with something dramatically beautiful.

Sometimes she pick flowers, sometimes she picks thoughts. When Michelle isn’t creating whimsical pieces, she is providing therapy to her clients & patients, and she aspires to help fight the stigma around mental health and be an advocate for those struggling with mental health issues in New Orleans.
